Frequently Asked Questions

Are there tryouts for the upcoming International Tournaments?
Each year NJ14 hosts tryouts for the age brackets that are being entered into the International Tournaments being offered. The tryout days and registration page can be found at INTERNATIONAL | NJ14 Soccer Club
Absolutely! All family members are invited to travel and support their players. Family package is available upon request.
The overall level of play in the tournament is well balanced. The group stage is unpredictable, Some teams can be of equal level and some lower level. Once teams leave the group stages the games are always very competitive.
Each girl will have the chance to participate in a group fundraiser to raise money for team events overseas as well as personal support. Players will also be provided a sponsorship letter for personal fundraising.
We have a roster of 18. 16 field players and two Goalkeepers
No, the tryout process is open to all players, each player will be evaluated on a year-by-year basis and selection will be made based on performance at tryouts.
No! The players club team is always prioritized. Mandatory dates for in-country events will be provided prior to tryouts to ensure that there will be no interference with your child’s club team schedule.
No, the tournaments age check is done by passports. All players will have to go to the passport check on the first day of the tournament as a team with the coach.

2012-2008 TRYOUTS

The Gothia Cup allows two players per team to compete a year up from the age group participation. This means all players born between 2012-2008 are eligible for tryouts. * Mandatory Dates * This year we have the following mandatory dates set for pre departure. This year we have the following mandatory dates set for pre depature. All players must be able to attend the following dates to be considered for the international team:
Tournament 1: February 8, 2025
Tournament 2: March 1& 2, 2025
Training Camp: June 18-20, 2025 5-8pm
Fundraiser Night (June 20th 7-8pm)
Media Day: June 21, 202510-2pm Both camp and fundraiser will be help in Bridgewater NJ. Additional dates may be added however player availability will be considered.
